Sauce Hats

Product review

It’s getting to that time of year when the temperatures are starting to drop, and it’s staying cooler throughout the mornings.

We typically like to do our training or activities early in the morning because we know it’s going to be cooler the earlier you go.

This time of year, it’s not freezing temperatures, but it will range from 6 degrees to 10 degrees, which is perfect for running or biking.

Starting out first thing in the morning can be a little chilly, but once you get moving, your body will warm up pretty quick.

It’s that time of year where I will now put on my fall running gloves and either a winter hat or a headband in the car, just in case.

We really like the Sauce hats because they fit snug, and they aren’t too bulky, and they can fit underneath our helmets.

This time of year (September, October), I ( Jeremy) like using just the headband. It keeps my ears covered but it leaves the top of my head open. I find it helps regulate the temperature, it keeps your ears warm, but it allows the heat to escape the top of your head so you don’t heat. And if you do get too hot and start to sweat, the Fleece material does a good job of repelling the moisture and it doesn’t soak it up.

If you like to wear your hair up in a ponytail, they have a hat that has a hole built in, in the back so you pull your ponytail through.

When we moved to Alberta, we were not prepared for the winter’s out west. Our old hats didn’t keep us warm, they did okay up to -10-15, but in the winters in Alberta, it can reach -40! We don’t go outside when it reached those temperatures, but we ventured out at -20 to -25 degrees, and the hats kept us nice and warm.

They offer a lot of different styles that you can pick from.

All in all, really great stuff, that keeps you warm, and fits under your gear, Definitely something worth trying out.
