If you’re an avid RVer and love to bring your dogs camping, but don’t want to tie them up to a tree or picnic table with their leashes

When you’re camping the last thing you want to think about is “where is my dog?”, you’re back at your campsite after a day of hiking, swimming or exploring and now it’s time to relax, the last thing you want to be doing is stalking your dog making sure they are in sight and on your campsite.

For years we would bring long leashes and tie them to either a tree, a picnic table or someone’s chair, just to keep them safe. The problem is, most dogs don’t want to settle and are constantly sniffing around, getting tangled around you, your chair or the picnic table or any other object on your campsite.

It wasn’t until one day I was cooking supper over the fire, I had all the dogs tied up so I went inside the RV to grab something. When I came back one of my dogs decided to leave camp and go visit the neighbors. Guinness is one of the friendliest dogs you will ever meet, and all he wanted to do was see if he could get a treat and a belly rub.

I couldn’t figure out how he got away, until I saw his leash laying beside the fire pit. He somehow figured out how to go around the firepit, walk behind it just enough so the leash pressed against the hot metal and melted, giving him a free pass to wander around.

It was that day we decided that we would need some type of fencing or a portable kennel.

Getting a portable outdoor dog kennel was the best choice we made. It gives us a place to secure our dogs without worry. We just open the door and they walk in, and they are secure and can’t melt it 🙂.

When we ordered the kennel I wanted a set that would fit in under the RV or in the back of the SUV, I opted for the 32 inch high version. If I was going to order them over again I would go with the 40 inch high kennel.

The 32 is great, but we have bigger dogs that if they really wanted to , they could jump over it, thankfully they don’t.

The set comes with 8 panels and it’s big enough to fit 2-3 dogs in it with space to lay down. If you want a bigger secured area, having 2-3 kits will give you lots of space to be inside the kennel with the dogs as well.

My only regret was not ordering a couple of sets. The kit comes with 8 panels, which is enough to hold two dogs comfortably, but I would like to cover my entire site with them to give them more freedom.

The panels are strong ,sturdy and have what seems to be a powder coating paint on them, making them last if you leave them out in the rain. We set up the kennel when we arrive, and it doesn’t come down until we leave.
